United in Radical Solidarity: Conference in Vienna and online, Sept. 18-20, 2026

“United in Radical Solidarity: Our Response to Domination and Hierarchy” is a conference on radical vision and activism to take place September 18-20, 2026 in Vienna, Austria, and online. More information, including how to register, is here:

The conference aims to address several key central questions:

• How can we live and act in radical solidarity?
• How can we do this beyond the state, identity and hierarchy?
• How do we build new social relations?
• How do we consolidate existing rule and overcome current conditions?

We want to address these and other questions – all are invited to raise new questions and to contribute together, on an equal footing, while taking into account the perspectives and expertise of very different people.

Contributors include: Peter Seyfert, Birge Krondorfer, Mia Neuhaus, Irene Tazi-Preve, Lucas Mielke, Bernd Drücke, and several other wonderful thinkers and outstanding activists in this intellectual terrain.

We have interpreted the conference very extensively because it is worth getting to the bottom of the concept and the meaning of radical solidarity. The contributions range from Kropotkin to Hannah Arendt, from the conceptual level to concrete forms to challenges. The workshops deal with, among other things, alliances and solidarities, visions of radical connectedness, and resistive practice. In addition, there will also be a cultural supporting program, because if I can’t dance I don’t want your revolution. 😉

This marks the third such conference on radical anarchist visions. The first conference explored anarchist visions of society and asked which concepts are suitable for a more just, democratic and non-hierarchical society.

The second conference was dedicated to the transformation towards a (more) socio-ecologically just future and explored ways of bringing about such societies.

At this third conference, we want to focus on solidarity. For us, it forms the foundation for a shared, more just and environmentally sustainable world.
